Why should you Detox?

Oh! Detox? Sounds interesting, right? And it's really trending. We usually associate the word "detox" when we want to be healthy or reduce some weight. Detoxification is the process of getting rid of toxic substances in our bodies. As you scroll through the internet or some TV channels, you'll see many detox programs or posts. We see celebrities all over the world hailing detox as a secret of their "transformation". But it's not for everyone. Why? Coz' it requires you to say 'bye-bye' to your favorite dishes. It can be challenging because it requires discipline!

Here are some of the amazing reasons why you should Detox!

(1) It can boost your immune system

Seriously? Well, yes, detoxifying can improve your immune system. It will renew your body organs and stimulate them to work more effectively. If you have a stronger immune system, your body will be stronger to resist the bad bacteria. In other words, the probability of getting ill is likely low.

(2) You can get rid of excess fats

Do you want to lose weight? Well, detoxifying can’t give you the perfect guarantee but it helps! Surely. When you are on the detox, make sure to exercise well, get some adequate sleep, breath some fresh air, drink enough water, be positive-minded, and avoid those high-refined, so sweet, fatty, high-cholesterol stuff. If you do some workout, good digestion will likely to follow. You will less to bloat, then. As you eat some fruits and veggies, your body will digest your food productively. Don’t forget the unrefined grains!

(3) You’ll get that nice skin

Having a fair, healthy-glowing skin is a must for many. Detox can help you with this! Drinking enough water, taking more fruits, vegetables, and grains can bring lots of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants in your body. As a result, your skin will look better. Don’t forget that a great detox will have some anti-ageing effects!

Detox is really great especially when you are so stressed out in life.

Yes, detox is advisable after all the parties this coming Christmas and New Year! Detox is a stress-reliever. The stuff we take can be a medicine to our bodies (if it's good). Thanks for commenting @gailbelga. I hope filipinos will be more temperate ! haha. :D

No need to go to extremes (like lemon juice 10-day fast) when detoxing. Raw veggies and fruits for few days does the trick too. Although I love a 3-day coconut water fast. Great share!

Master cleanse they call it. I call it crazy. I have a friend who did a water fast for 21 days.... For me, 3-day coconut fast is enough hehe.
