INHUMANE TREATMENT BY LUTH'S WORKERS

Hi, am writing this article with a sad and heavy heart.
A fellow Church member of mine had being admitted into Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) for an undisclosed illness. He spent the new year on his sick bed, am reporting this case of unfair treatment of patients in the (LUTH).

Nigerian Government aren't doing enough for the citizens, but for the citizens to become cruel to each other at this rate is very sad.
Some Members of my Church went to visit a friend’s Dad (the patient) in (LUTH) and the condition in which the workers of (LUTH) treated the guest was very appalling, the workers requested for tip (bribe) before they could enter and visit the patient.

On getting inside the patient ward, the state at which they met the patient bed was very disappointing ,no bedspread, no pillow and was everyone untidy. When asked why this was so, the patient said the workers were demanding for tip (Bribe) before they would clean up the place or change the bed spread.
The patient has paid a considerable large amount for the bed space and didn't have more money to give as tips (Bribe) to the workers before they can do their duties in which they were employed to carry out.
These workers are being paid by the Government to carry out this duties but instead suffer fellow citizens, just to get extra cash, and to the best of my knowledge, All Medical Staffs and medical cleaning staff are the most paid in Nigeria today by the Government.
Where is the humanity in these workers, allowing your fellow citizens to suffer this much because of monetary gains.

I hope the relevant Government Authorities would look into this inhumane treatment of patients to curb this act of wickedness and corruption in (LUTH) to avoid unnecessary deaths, suffering of the poor Masses whom are looking into to the Government for proper and efficient Health Care.
If you are hale and healthy thank God, for it's not by your power, but only by his grace and pray for those down with illness to receive quick recovery and move on with living their life.
