HBCUs and the democratization of wealth

I am interested to know if any in the STEEM community is affiliated with an HBCU or its equivalent in another country. The acronym stands for Historically Black Colleges and Universities. My employer, Stillman College, is an HBCU founded in 1876. There are other types of MSIs (Minority Serving Institutions) in the USA.

How can we harness the power of the blockchain to democratize wealth within HBCUs and other MSIs?
