The Big Debate - Work and Make More Money or Downsize - Tiny House Big Island of Hawaii

As each month goes by we continue to debate as to how much longer we will continue to work in the rat race of Honolulu or just down size and live permanently in our Tiny House.

Don't get us wrong we love our jobs and our profession the problem is that Honolulu is getting worse and worse. The noise. The crowds of people. The homeless people every where. The crime.

The ideal solution would be to work remotely but our jobs don't allow for that now.

So the big question is when should we move?

For some reason we treat our lives unlike our professions. In our professions we have projects with specific timelines and goals, but we don't treat our lives like that. Despite the fact that we handle tasks in our jobs with deadlines, we some how think time runs forever in our lives, which we know it does not.

The big fears are making sure our child (who is in her early 20s) is OK financially, and medical expenses.

We need to start setting some real deadlines otherwise life will pass us by.
