Dole Cannery

The Dole Cannery in Honolulu was once a thriving bustling place where pineapple was packed and shipped making Hawaii known for this fruit. The Cannery provided many jobs and it was almost like a ritual to work at the Cannery during the summer. Most of the job positions were to work side by side on the conveyor belt lined with pineapples and continuously moving. You could be peeling, sorting, or canning among other things. Now the Cannery has been renovated into a commercial center with various offices and businesses such as Regal Dole Cannery Theaters, Home Depot, Costco and Best Buy. It still holds on to its history by having these pictures and information boards about what Dole Cannery once was.
