A small crew can be a good crew in the Hash

The Monday Hash is the only traditional one that we have in Chiang Mai and by traditional I mean that only men are allowed on the runs. This obviously can result in us having lower numbers attending and the more I look at these pics the more I think that we are gradually going to run out of members. The average age must be somewhere in the neighborhood of 65. At least we are getting out there and doing something though, right?

We only had a lucky number of 13 attendees this past week and even though there were very few people to shout at, make fun of, and force to sit on the ice, we still had a great time.

We don't need a huge amount of people in order to have a good time and most of the people that come on these Monday runs have been with us for a long time. We did have one visitor that came with us this time. He was visiting from Korea and was a great guy. We always love it when this happens because every Hash in the world is different and we like to hear about the differences between ours and other people's Hash meetups around the world.

We did also have a "splash showdown" where both people are eligible to sit on the ice but only the one who answers the questions asked by the GM the "wrongest." In the end it was decided that both of them, as well as everyone else, should be put on the ice.

Attempting to avoid the ice is something that simply cannot be accomplished. If you are trying to not sit on the ice this will almost certainly result in you getting put on it more frequently, so it is actually better to act as though you REALLY want to get put on the ice if your true objective is to not get put on it.

Why would you not want to be on the ice tough? It's a damn furnace in Thailand and until your butt-cheeks go completely numb, it is actually very refreshing!
