Hash Oil Extraction with Butane C4H10
This technique is quite easy to preform and is extremely effective.
You will need ground up weed of your choice..
You will need to purchase a special glass tube or find a glass blower friend to make one with a tiny hole at its tip.
You can get fancy and buy super high quality filter and a piper clamp...
However, rubber bands and coffee filters work just fine..
Stuff the tube pretty good but not too tight! We want our Butane to run through nicely.
Find a Pyrex collection dish. If you have a heating pad to put underneath GREAT!
If not, warm the plate in the oven to where its hot! but you can still hold it. This will help all the gas escape from the oil as it evaporates.
Preform in well ventilated area or outside -
You'll probably wanna keep the oven on and get it ready for some cake or cookies or something.. because this oil is gonna be fire!
When running a 1" tube you'll average about a can per foot - scale accordingly.. The tubes can be purchased much larger. WEAR GLOVES, it is ICE COLD.
Butane boils point about 33 degrees.
*Extremely flammable. Remember this is lighter fluid!
It will begin evaporating rapaciously - This is where the heated glass adds value.
Find a mixing utensil and whip up your golden amber glassy goodness from the goddess Marijuana.. The friction helps rise the butane bubbles to the exterior of your goo.. When the hash oil has crystalized and its void of butane filled bubbles, treat yourself to the piece of art!

This seems interesting but isn't butane dangerous to eat? Wouldnt it just be way less of a hassle to make cannabutter? That extracts the THC as well through the fat.
You would not eat this. You would vaporize it, but not until you were certain all butane had escaped the extract.
When the extract is viscous enough induced by heat, the butane will surface and escape on its own.
As suggested in the first reply, a vacuum purge is preferable especially if this extraction is performed in the cold temperatures.
Canna-butter is a fantastic option!
Add some everclear or pure grain alcohol and it breaks the bond allowing the butane to be released.
This recipe isn't very safe and highly toxic. No Vacume purge ? And no safety warnings about flammable gas?
Sigh. This is why it's a hazard.
Vacuum purge works very well, expensive device.
Heat works wonders as well.
Butane is lighter fluid, yes very flammable!
