As an emergency management professional, can I suggest that you make your donations using cash instead of material? Many organizations have established purchasing partnerships that can double, triple, or quadruple the buying power of your dollar. Sending cash instead of things also means that volunteer efforts can go directly to helping out those who are impacted instead of trying to sort, catalogue, store, and distribute supplies that may or may not be needed.
