Do Coconuts Ripen After They Are Picked - The Harvest is plentiful
In the province, you get nothing but the grass beneath your feet and that picture perfect view.
Sometimes you just want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. What I love the most in province are the peace and quite place, being one with nature and of course the food. : )
Come lets do the harvest : )
A coconut tree is a tropical plant from the palm family grown primarily for its fruit, coconuts. The coconut has got to be the most versatile fruit used.
Every part of the coconut and the tree has a use and has been used by different countries in different ways. The coconut should be fully ripe at 12 months after fruit emerge. Coconuts are often harvested a month or two before they fully ripen, when the nuts meat is still soft and can be scooped with a spoon.
Having a refreshing coconut water is as easy as buying a coconut fresh from a local seller and sticking a straw in it. Very refreshing and it satisfies my thirst.
Carl my nephew really enjoy scraping the coconut while me enjoyed watching him eagerly learning how to scrape : )
After scraping coconut, carl enjoyed riding the buffalo with plenty of coconuts harvests inside the cart. Buffalo locally known as "carabao" in Philippines. Generally considered as a backyard activity among farmers. They known as the best partners of farmers in farming.
the province always manages to make roughing it up a more fun experience.
"The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."
Luke 10:2
I was there :) Enjoy!! :)
