Harry Kane to Bayern Munich: Tottenham striker move 'imminent' due to medical reasons

in #harrylast year (edited)

England captain Harry Kane is expected to undergo a medical at Bayern Munich after being cleared by Tottenham Hotspur to travel to Germany.

Bayern and Tottenham agreed a deal worth more than €100m (£86.4m) for the 30-year-old on Thursday.

The decision to move then fell to Kane, who is Tottenham's all-time top scorer with 280 goals in 435 appearances.

Spurs boss Angie Postkoglu confirmed on Friday that a deal is "imminent".

Kane has one year left on his contract and is unlikely to stay at the club.

Harry Kane: Tuchel: Bayern Munich still doing 'big deal for striker
Barring any unexpected issues, Kane's move will be completed in time for the start of the Bundesliga season next week.
It was felt the striker was eager to make a decision on his future before the season started, but it took Bayern the better part of the summer to get to the point where Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was willing to seal a deal.

Kane was initially linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, but it is unclear whether Levy would be willing to sell him to another Premier League club.

He could have let the final year of his contract expire and then be a free agent in 2024.
