Talking about the project Harmony!
What is Harmony?
Harmony is powered by optimized sharding technology which is fully scalable, secure and energy efficient. It is based on the PoS blockchain which is capable of linear scaling which gives it the ability to scale up easily at the time of network being heavily utilized. Scaling decentralization has been put to all new level which means in terms of scaling Harmony is way ahead then it's competition.
Mainnet of the Harmony was launched on 28th june and at that time only the first fully sharded PoS blockchain took place.
It's mainnet had 600 nodes which makes it among the too 15 decentralized networks. The aim of Phase 2 mainnet is to add 4 shards with 400 nodes each, apart from that swapping of native ONE token, staking of smart contract and transfer of token will also take place.

Comparison of Blockchain Technology.
As from the image it is very clear that Harmony is standing strong against the other leading PoS blockchains though it be security, against shard attack or cross shard communication etc. Harmony turns out to be ahead of it's competition.
Solving Modern Day problem.
Scalability is the problem which is likely to be faced by projects which are growing though it be slowly or with a fast pace they are going to face this problem on there end. So it is more wise to go with a technology which can be scaled as the project grow and hear is where Harmony comes into play. As the projects are realizing this need so slowly they are knowing the importance of this project and it is really a good news that Animoca has dome the partnership with the Harmony.
Some Achievements of Harmony Protocol.
Full Scalability: Requirements of the storage are less restrictive as the Harmony shards the record keping and processing of the network.
Secure Sharding: It uses the DRG(distributed randomness generation) process which is known for it's unbiased, unpredictable, verifiable, scalable Protocol.
Fast and Efficient Consensus: Harmony is a PoS which is considered to be more efficient than the PoW alternatives.
Adaptive-Threshold PoS:It is really very adapting as the requirements of staking is adjusted based on total staking volumes which stops malicious stakeholders to concentrate on a single shards.
Sharding
It is the process of dividing a database's computational responsibility into a much smaller segments which then carry there task individually in return the total burden of the computation small.
Harmony Sharding Process
Harmony has learned and built it's system on industrial and academic developments so through this they have discovered a process which is considered to be the most secure by the other industry and academic leaders. Randomness is the name of the Sharding process. In this process a random number is been selected which is mutually agreed upon which later decides the responsibility of each node.

Use Case.
The use cash of Harmony is quite a long one so it can be used almost at all the places and business which has the potential to grow and they need to handle data efficiently and effectively though it be malls, supermarkets some blockchain based projects which are growing at a faster rate. As the project is new and still developing so it is implementing slowly but as the world will come to know about it, then it will spread like fire.
