Why a Hardware Wallet is Essential

in #hardwarewallet7 years ago

If you hold any significant amount of coin, I would highly suggest buying a hardware wallet like the Ledger Nano S or something similar

This could be an important choice that will save a big headache later!

This is coming from experience! I lost about 40 Bitcoin in BTC-e. This was considered one of the most reliable exchanges in the crypto community for a long time before the US kicked their doors down and confiscated all of their bitcoin and other crypto wallets.

If I would have been smart, I would have been storing all of my coins on a hardware wallet. With a device like the Ledger Nano S, you can’t get hacked if you have your device in a secure location because you must physically have the hardware wallet to send funds.

If only I could go back into time, I would have put all of my coins on a hardware wallet and left them there to accrue growth.

If you have been on the fence thinking about buying one, never heard of these, or never thought you’d need it, spend the money for the peace of mind and security!

They hold all major coins and all erc20 tokens as well!

Absolutely correct, with the increasing attention on cryptos, there is a need to secure our assets as well.

@upvote and @resteem

good job bro..

Thanks for sharing. I’ve been looking into getting one yet every time it has a long waiting period.

Are there any sites you suggest to get a Nano from?

Amazon or cryptohwwallet.com

It is best to buy it from their official website. Because there are many scams.
Below is their link.

Thanks of course that’s what I mean they say not until March shipping.

I know you want to get it quickly, but there is a case which a person lost his coin because he didn't buy from the official website. https://cointelegraph.com/news/life-savings-stolen-from-second-hand-ledger-hardware-wallet

Wow 😲

Thanks for sharing.

When you lost your hardware wallet, do you also lose all of your bitcoin? Would you be able to back it up? This hardware wallet still confuses me.

They will give you a 24-word phrase when you set up your ledger nano s to recover your bitcoin, you can recover with a new ledger or using another wallet that they support.

Oh, cool. I thought once the hardware is gone, so are your coins.

This is very good and useful tip especially like us earning through cryptocurrencies. Aside from software wallet we have this hardware wallet. Just be careful not to loss it.

Thanks for the advice.
