Everything You Ever Wanted... Was Just a Feeling!
Everything we have ever had or wanted was just a good feeling inside ourselves we were trying to capture and hold.
All the desires to attain those status bench mark items that "prove" you were progressing, achieving your goals, or what you really wanted and would make you happy, is nothing but an illusion to the unaware.
For example, you want to own a Mercedes car. You give all the reasons why you should.... 'to achieve status recognition, respect, image.' What do you want status for? Respect and approval from others. What do you want respect & approval for? To have a feeling of security. What do you want security for? To feel happy.
When you continue to break down any wants or desires, it will always come down to a positive feeling.
There is no other goal but to create the good feelings within ourselves.
Everything we chase on a daily basis can prove this. All products and services are marketed to make you happy with what you are receiving. You can be very successful in business if you can offer people something that makes them feel great!
This is the reason drugs, alcohol, and sex are so widespread in the world, everyone is chasing a good feeling.
Keeping this in mind is such a benefit to create such an amazing life for ourselves & everyone around us.
We can choose to dismiss negative emotions and generate more positive ones!
This means we have everything we need within ourselves to create all our desires.
Interesting and very true! If you don't mind me touching on one thing you mentioned though that I think might actually in reality be the complete opposite:
'All products and services are marketed to make you happy with what you are receiving. '
I think that most marketing is aimed at making you feel UNhappy, UNworthy or UNsatisfied. Then the product is presented as being the solution! So, yes, the product or service is supposed to make you happy, but what we are told on a subconscious and sometimes even plain conscious level is quite different. You didn't even know that you were a failure for one thing or another but now you do, you want to have this product to no longer be a failure and to be cool, young, respected or whatever this product promises you.
It creates issues that weren't even there before, but now they are and you'll happily pay to improve.
Yes this is true. We are marketed to bring out our insecurities and then buy the products or services that makes us feel good again. Great add @tishyaoedit! Thank you
