Being Human

I was watching a famous you-tuber and I suddenly noticed that he was totally possessed by his mind while blabbering non stop. The mind, being a tool to compare anything with anything in already acquired memory was out of his control. His mind was controlling him with a non stop commentary to interpret everything, even leading to solo conversations. To talk to yourself, there must be two of you. When you can observe your mind activity and engage in conversations with it, it means there is a separation between you and your mind. This means you are neither your mind nor the pilled up information you have gathered according to your social background. So if you are not your mind and you definitely are something more than flesh and bones, so maybe it's time to think about what you really are. Otherwise, you will just identify yourself with smaller and smaller things which will degrade your being. Your religion, nationality, education, social status, work experience, have nothing to do with who you really are, because you have just gathered them while you grow up. Once you realize that, and start dropping your identifications, the essence of who you are will gradually arise. Just like an air ballon that needs to drop the extra weight to take off. You are a product of earth and you are on life support. You consume life to keep yourself alive, be it air, water, food... To feel at ease, you have to experience the silence of empty space, which is without a beginning and without an end. Be careful about not letting an unpleasant life situation describe the quality of life within you. The best way to avoid stress is to accept the current situation and do whatever you can do about it. There is always a way, you just can't see it with a busy mind. The purpose of life is to have a silent mind, you have to tame your mind, otherwise you will spend your life avoiding yourself. Finding distractions work only for a little while, but never solve anything. When your mind becomes silent, the non stop commentary will stop, the unnecessary interpretations will stop, you will be at ease, relaxed, joyful. You will start seeing things you couldn't see before with 100% increased efficiency. All you have to do is to notice that thoughts come and go like waves, just watch them, observe them, don't let them stick to you. The less space your thoughs occupy, the more space for you to be. Life is difficult, you don't have to make it worse by playing worst case scenarios of it in your mind. And life is not about doing, life is about being, so at least you can experience what it means to be a human being in this lifetime of yours..
