Is This What Happiness Looks Like?

Making my way downtown walking fast
Faces pass and I'm homebound
Staring blankly ahead just making my way
Making a way through the crowd 😁

This animation went viral supposedly showing "molecules of the protein myosin drag a ball of endorphins along an active filament into the inner part of the brain's parietal cortex, which produces feelings of happiness."

This is an, in fact, a kinesin walking up a microtubule. Both kinesin and myosin are considered motor proteins, which (among other things) can transport newly synthesized molecules between different regions within eukaryotic cells.

The company behind the animation, 'Art of the Cell' has a blog article by the artist John Liebler, where he describes some of the history and inspiration for the animation here: http://www.artofthecell.com/animation/well-you-can-tell-by-the-way-i-use-my-walk
