what is Hanfu?
Hanfu, full name is "the han nationality traditional clothing, clothes, also known as han han, from the yellow emperor to the throne in the middle of the 17th century (Ming dynasty), in the main residential areas, the han nationality" -- han Chinese culture as the background and the dominant idea, to the Chinese etiquette culture as the center, through the natural evolution and formation of the unique han style and personality, The traditional clothing and accessories system, which is obviously different from other ethnic groups, is the embodiment of China's "land of dress", "land of courtesy", "Splendid China" and the country of Selis. It carries the outstanding craftsmanship and aesthetics of the Han nationality, such as dyeing, weaving and embroidery, and inherits more than 30 Chinese intangible cultural heritage and protected Chinese arts and crafts.
Similar to the word "Han", the word "Han" in Hanfu also has the process of expanding from the Han Dynasty to the whole nation. For example, the earliest record of "Hanfu" in Mawangdui Tomb No. 3 Dispatching Book is as follows: "Four Beauties, two Chu, and two Han" in [1] refers to the dress and etiquette system of the Han Dynasty, namely, the dress and etiquette system in Zhou Li, Yi Li and Li Ji [2]; In Manshu, a book written in the Tang Dynasty, it is recorded that "Hanfu" refers to the dress and etiquette system of the Han people [3] : "At the beginning, I took part in the customs of Rong a little later, but until now I have been wrapped around the head in the morning Xia."
Han clothing "originated from the Yellow Emperor and was prepared in Yao and Shun" [4], which originated from the Yellow Emperor's corona-making clothing [5]. It was formed in the Zhou Dynasty and formed a complete crown and clothing system based on the four books and five Classics in the Han Dynasty, which became a part of the Shinto teaching. [6] Therefore, all later Chinese dynasties were under the rule of Zhou Fahan, who made it a state matter to inherit the clothes of Han Dynasty [7], thus giving rise to the Yufu Zhi in the twenty-four histories. "The Yellow Emperor, Yao, and Shun ruled the world by hanging down their clothes, benefiting from the universe" [8], which means that the shape of the clothes under the coat is determined by the will of heaven and is sacred [9-10]. Hanfu also influenced the whole Han culture circle through the Chinese legal system. Some ethnic groups in Asian countries, such as Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Mongolia, Bhutan and so on, have the characteristics of Hanfu or borrowed from it.
