Pre-launch: Socially conscious online store for European Handmade Men's Shoes

I'm building a business, that empowers European artisans and handicraft masters. Our vision is to create a European-wide online store where people could easily buy from various companies producing handmade shoes. Social cause is very important to us and we want to help the next generation of artisans. For that reason, we are also launching Artisan Academy, which will be our vehicle in helping the apprentice education of underprivileged students. We will give 10 % of the sales to the Academy.

Our roadmap for 2019:

Feb — Launch the beta-version of the store. For this stage, we will have a one shoe brand in the selection. Our goal is to create a live showcase of our vision and attract new shoe companies into our service.

Mar — Negotiate cooperation agreements with 10 shoe companies.

Apr — Launch live version of the store and roll out the marketing. Expected marketing budget is 2,000 €

May — Drive 10,000 visitors to the site. Assume conversion rate of 0.5 %. This would mean 50 sold pairs of shoes. Average cost of shoes being 400 € this would mean a revenue of 20,000 €.

Jun — Continue expanding the selection of shoes and marketing spending. Drive 20,000 visitors. Aim to increase conversion rate to 1 %. This would mean 200 sold pairs and 80,000 € in revenue.

Aug — Launch application for the first Artisan Academy batch of apprentices. Continue to ramp up the business operations.

As we are currently in the pre-launch phase, all feedback is much appreciated. We are crafting our detailed action plan and validating various hypothesis. All ideas are appreciated. Especially crazy ones.
