One important pointed in reformed theology is that God is completely sovereign and we are completely depraved and can’t do anything to be saved. Only God can save us and not because we want to be saved. As completely sinful people we are dead and can only be saved from death by Gods grace and through his word.

The next verse is 1 Timothy 4:8
