This party...

is geared towards adults, but it's not a party with the purpose of getting puke-drunk ;>

So I am not having a "theme" to the party past Halloween itself. I'll aim to hold it on Halloween itself.

I'll request folks to come in costume, but not worry if they don't. Girls like to show a little off in their costuming, and I don't want to distract them ;>

Decorations

I'll be running the decorations contest in a couple of weeks. This is just discussing how I'd do my party.

I like grim decorations, more to the spooky side than to the cutsie side or the harvest side; more of this:

Booze

For the most part, standard beer will be issued, although I have started drinking cider when I actually drink, and nobody complains when I put it out.

Games and Activities

You have to know your crowd before you plan this part; I flopped a party once when I set up an elaborate game, and folks just wanted to booze up and flirt!

You might just want to play some mood music, a a Halloween themed playlist (It's a Dead Man's Party, who could ask for more), a normal playlist, or just have some favorite movies and TV shows lined up.

How your party ends is up to you. If you plan on an early end, make sure folks know before they show up.
