New Halloween Trailer

The trailer for the new Halloween movie came out recently and it looks pretty good and exciting but I HATE HATE HATE that Michael is no longer Lori’s brother! Having Michael turn out to be Lori’s brother was one of the greatest twists in movie history. It’s up there with Luke being Vader’s son. Can you imagine making a Star Wars movie and saying Luke is no longer Vader’s son? Blasphemy!

I am a creature of logic and this twist made the series make so much sense and consequently a lot more exciting. Now it just doesn’t feel logical for Michael to have gone after Lori and especially for him to want to hunt her down again in the new movie. In my opinion this is the primary reason the series has endured with fans for so many decades.

In the trailer it is obvious that Lori has been haunted and obsessed by that night all this time. I can understand being haunted by the experience even if she is not his sister but not to the degree and intensity that she displays in the trailer. The grudge factor by Michael and the paranoia by Lori just doesn’t hold water if you take out the family element. I am very disappointed in Ms. Curtis for agreeing to do the picture when it completely butchers the series.
