Hal Jordan's Preset Conditions

The Power ring receives commands from the Green Lantern Corps member that wields it, that's how it operates and does everything it does.

A Green Lantern that wants to the power ring to do something at a specific point of time in the future, can give certain commands to be stored in the ring which will be executed at a later date, even if the wielder is not using the ring at that moment in time.

This ability was demonstrated by Ch'p, who surrendered his ring but ordered it to restrain his enemy after a few moments had passed.
