HAIRINESS IN WOMEN

A great concern is expressed by most women that have increased body hair mostly when the hair is grown in an inappropriate places of the body e.g hair on the upper lip, hair on the chin, hair on the legs. This will make a woman look less feminine. Such women could develop enlarged clitoris and their voice becomes deepen.

LIKELY CAUSES
A tumor which can be removed through surgery could cause increased body hair in females. When the hair follicles have increased in sensitivity to the small amounts of males hormone circulating in the females bloos, hairiness could result in female.

1.A duretic drug called spironolactone
2.A drug which posses the male hormone in females ' circulation called cyproterone together with an oesterogen. This is to be taken for 10days in a month for the period of 3moths.Wthin these months, excessive hair will stop to grow. This drug could be taken for an additional 6months to stop it completely.
