ooooh...you kept some of the color....I like that. Nice!

Thank you, Deb:)

I like how the haiku seems to reflect the editing process, rather than just the natural image itself. Makes for a great twist on the usual formula! Both elements are very well matched :)

Thank you, Lazarus:)

Those petals look like embossed metal. Gorgeous!

Are there different forms of haiku 5/7/5, 5/6/3? Or are the masters allowed to break the norms?

Thank you, Samantha. Most haiku scholars don't hold English haiku to a specific syllable count. The 5/7/5 thing just got legs as it is the way it is taught in public schools. Haiku need only be brief and be about nature, but a pivot line or idea is a really big bonus.

Gotcha. I never mastered that pivot line thing.

Very cool, Pryde!

Thank you, Paul:)

lovely monochrome to complement your poem :)

Thank you, John:)

such a beautiful comparison. I love it

Thank you, Sayee:)

I used to have those flowers, the photo is beautiful, and the haiku as well! Cheers, dear Pryde!
