Hackers are preparing massive attacks on banks around the world

In 2016, financial institutions often became victims of cyber-fraudsters. So, last year almost every third bank became the target of cyberattacks. Most often it was phishing and fraudulent use of user data.

This was reported in Kaspersky Lab based on the results of the study.

Thus, Kaspersky Lab experts say that despite the fact that the popularity of mobile and Internet banking continues to grow, 24% of banks constantly have difficulties with remote identification of customers who use these services.

59% of banks predict that their losses will grow because of cyber fraud, so more and more important will be the authentication of users of online services financial institutions.

In this regard, Kaspersky Lab experts recommend that banks more actively implement two-factor authentication, as well as a number of comprehensive solutions to verify the identity of the client, which will help block attempts to steal user data, neutralizing the threat before the damage is done.
