Finally! An VC fund for Black Techpreneurs
Lo Toney is an MBA alumni of UC -Berkeley and a Board member of HBCU.vc where he has been instrumental in the active push to support Black and Latin representation in the tech sphere. I am all for equality equity and inclusion in some of these critical industries.
His most recent venture involves a whooping $50M VC fund specifically designed to address the obstacles facing these marginalized communities. In tandem with the spending base that accounts for over $400B in yearly collective spending on technology, the black community is a high consumer with a mere 2% representation in the Tech world.
Clearly something has to be done...
And the brother is doing it. So I'm doing my part to support the moves he is making.
