Easy Budgeting, look, and weight right before your eyes!
Hi dudes, this is a real quick post letting you all know about a really cool online tool. It's called Gunstruction and can be found at https://www.ar15.com/gunstruction/index.html.
Whether you are looking to do a custom AR, AK, or other popular modular platform build, I would recommend taking a look at this tool. It automatically filters for compatibility and has the weight of all the parts (ouces equals pounds, and pounds equals pain) so this is a very useful way of seeing what the weight totals are. Also, seeing the parts as separate images is nowhere near as meaningful as putting them all together. I cannot recommend this enough.
Unfortunately it has limited amount of parts and supported manufacturers. I also had some problems navigating the site quickly but it's a innovative idea that will give builders an idea of what their rifle will look like even if they are using a different brand of part.
yeah it needs work, but by supporting it, we show why they need to improve it more instead of putting it out to pasture. Obviously it can't have everything, but I would love for them to add the MI rails
