I've lived in places where I open carried every day-- and also carried concealed at the same time. Now I live in the police state of Texas where open carry without a permit is a death sentence-- if the cop who sees you decides to make it one.
And people think of Texas as favoring firearm freedom. Arizona, Idaho, and Wyoming are far friendlier to firearms.
