INFORMATION IS MEANINGLESS: PART ONE "Muh Guns and Muh Bible"

In this first part of our blog on the loss of meaning in today's world we will focus on one specific obvious disparity in today's so-called Christianity. The Gun Issue.

Before we get to that "simple" topic I will first give a brief idea of what I mean by the title of this blog. In our world we have so many sources of Information. Sadly, most of it being distributed for-profit. Meaning that it is a consumer product. Like any product it can be (and is) manipulated to be more or less desirable; depending on which is more financially beneficial to the provider of the Info. A good example of this would be a type of "Click Bait"; advertisements presenting themselves as news stories. These offer salacious photos or headlines to draw in the reader for the purpose of exposing them to some product or idea that the provider of the content wants to promote. The effects of this can range from relatively harmless to reality altering madness.
Now to the topic at hand...

If you call yourself a Christian and you are packing a gun; then you don't understand one of those things.

Although, it can be difficult to apply Logic to Religion in any form this hasn't stopped Theists from trying (Let's argue about how many literal angels can fit on the head of a pin). So, I too will be giving religion the old Logical Looksee in this blog. In this case applying only the internal Logic of Christianity.
It all comes down to this:

What do you not believe?

Is it that you don't believe Jesus will protect your family?

So you need weapons to pick up his slack?

Or is it that you don't believe in the promise of the Kingdom of Heaven?

So much so in fact you are willing to commit Murder (verboten in the Ten Commandments and considered a Mortal Sin) rather than allow yourself to go there?

This is madness.

The truth is you probably like the idea of being able to kill at will and are willing to justify that by perverting the word's of The Bible to fit your narrative of the World. The Truth is you probably are scared of anything different from you. Scared enough to feel the need to arm yourself "for Protection". You probably can't admit this because admitting to this Fear would mean admitting you don't have anyone or anything else that will protect you or your family. Meaning you don't really believe in God, Jesus, or Heaven. You just like feeling superior to others and church helps you do that. So does the gun.

You are Wrong.

Rethink your Life.

You can either be a Gun Lover or a Jesus Lover.

You cannot logically be both.

Sadly, this is all too common from where I sit in Middle America. The mere suggestion that guns and bibles don't mix is so antithetical to the world view here that people are ready to fight about it.
Chances are that this post will get that kind of serious bile whipped up too. I hope so. It is written for those people in the hope that the light of Christ they claim to have once felt will return to remove the scales from their eyes.
Recent Church shootings have brought this vitriolic evil to the point of entrenchment. I hear so-called Christians proclaim that a shooting won't happen in their church because their congregation is armed. To these folks I ask: What if Jesus is trying to rapture you up one bullet at a time?

If you believe in the promise of the Kingdom of Heaven maybe you should act like it.

There is no difference between extremists with an AK and a Koran who want a Caliphate and extremists with AR and a Bible who want a Christian Theocracy.

They are both willing to kill to get what they want in a God's name.

They are both dangerous to a Democracy.

For now the United States nominally maintains the idea of Freedom of Speech (or I would not be allowed to write this) but make no mistake, just like all of Information, it is under attack.

He who controls the Narrative controls the World. Something to keep in mind when authority figures lie often and loudly. Because, no mater how loud, no matter how many times they say it, a lie is still a damned lie. Do the research. Practice Critical Thinking. Only then can we even hope to discern true meaning from the barrage of Information that is being thrown at us.
