An Objective Analysis of the Fucked Upness of the US Gun Debate in the wake of yet another school shooting and people are waking up to how politics works and doing something powerful

Without going into a dramatic diatribe about my position on gun control, I want to share my thoughts on the gun control debate going on right now after the Parkland school shooting.

As planned, the younger generation is taking a stand in a big and logical way. They've figured out the US "democracy" is controlled by one party, known as $$$. The NRA has so much political clout only because they throw around a lot of money to further their goals. When politicians don't do much after events like these, young people are wising up to the truth of the Real Game. They are hurting the NRA at their source, money.

With huge companies like Delta Airlines, Enterprise, Bank of Omaha pulling out of their discounts and services for the NRA, the NRA is now actually showing signs of fear. With their recent comment that companies "have decided to punish NRA membership in a shameful display of political and civic cowardice" is extremely telling. That quote will do them much more harm than good. Lashing out will turn against them.

That comment is a direct glossing over of the truth. If it was civic cowardice, few companies and individuals would be publicly attaching their name to their decisions. But they are publicly stating their intentions online for all to see. This is the civic right to protest, in its purest, non-violent form. Revoking money is this century's prime method of protest.

With the NRA's big stance on the Second Amendment, it's quite clear they are not for the entire Constitution if they want to lash out at otherwise harmless Free Speech. No one is yet coming to take their guns or start some kind of civil war over Gun Laws. Instead, they're doing it in the recommended way of the Constitution. The Constitution, at the heart, shows that citizens are rational and self-governing and Government interference is the least likely to help. The Gun Laws can be a prime example of this in action, which is to say more laws will not be needed. Especially since the ones on books aren't working and rarely enforced.

Instead, gutting the proponents of their funds will sway us towards self regulating with no political intervention. Though this thought is quite idealistic, it is possible. At some point, the NRA will have to concede and come to the talking table, instead of spouting off their standard lines they always do.
