Devil Gundam: Shield Modification Part 5

Hi guys!

Today I will still be working on the shield since I think the shield looks a bit too low on the back of the Devil Gundam. So, I will do some modification to the connector of the shield and the back of the Gundam.

I will be working on this connector

Since the connector is a bit too long, I simply removed some of it by trimming off the angled part and replaced it with a short straight part.

Using flat blade (for cleaner cut) I trimmed off this part into pieces

I will simply remove the angle and replace it with a short straight part.

Cleaned off the by using file (I will cement this later)

I will cement these parts together

With this modification the shield should seat a bit higher than before since I replace the angled part with a short straight part.

Cleaning all the surface and test fitting (see if the surface are even on both sides)

Connect the pieces with tamiya cement

I used a combination of quick cement and regular cement so I will let this cure overnight

I'll let this cure overnight then I will cement the rest of the pieces tomorrow and do a test fit.
