It's not surprising that the gun control advocates got the lesson from the Trump assassination attempt ass backwards.

Still, I'll take a moment to tell you what the lesson is.

The lesson is that the government can't protect you.

Trump is probably the most protected person by the government right now aside from Biden. He doesn't just have an armed security detail. He's beyond surrounded by people whose only job it is to protect Trump. Still, the only reason why Trump is alive today is because he moved his head at exactly the right moment.

The lesson isn't that we need more gun control. The lesson is that, if you feel like you can call the cops to save you from a murderer, you're delusional. If the government can't protect Trump, how the hell are they going to protect you?

The lesson is that you should immediately dismiss any agent of the state who wants to pass gun control under the reassurance that the state is there to protect you.
