I listen to all kinds of music (yes, even to pop, I confess), but when I hear from talented, independent musicians like you, I get so frustrated that you do not have as much opportunity for exposure as those in genres like pop. I often wonder if many pop singers end up in that genre because they think the kind of music they really want to play/sing is not in one of the popular genres.
I want to say do not give up, but at the same time, I am not trying to make a living in the music arena, and therefore, have no idea how frustrating and maddening it must be to try and try and get very little ahead. Maybe under those circumstances, I would sell out, too.
Anyway, please, keep playing for yourself and for those of us who appreciate your talent and your efforts!
Thank you very much for your encouragements, that's highly appreciated! I also listen to a lot of different music genres (including pop). In fact there's a lot of good pop music out there, we just gotta find the good artists. It would be a dream for me to be able to make a living out of my music and my art in general. You can be sure that if this dream comes true it'll be because of people like you, those who like what I do and motivate me, those who encourage me and ask for more. Now here's the kind of comment that makes me want to make the best out of each single moment that I grab an instrument, as long as there's people like you to support me I don't have a single reason to give up!
