The oldest guitar-like instrument is 3,500 years old. forget '50's telecaster and les pauls - this is a truly vintage instrunent. it was found in Egypt, and is believed to have belonged to a singer Har-Mose.

He was employed by architect to queen Hatshepsut, and buried, with his instrument, close to his employer.

    Great post sir i never thought of Egypt when it comes to guitars I always assumed that it was more of China origin. I guess I was wrong.
