I brought a cosmos and 19 stones for the lost one

Our beloved Figgy has passed peacefully. He was a guinea pig in a lab. He was rescued and came to us 5 years ago.

Blind but as we left the cage door open, he became adventurous in exploring his surroundings.

He was running like he can see in our living room and kitchen and goes home on his own, leaving his marks as he was like a poop making machine. Such a big eater and it was our biggest joy to feed him tons of fresh organic veggies every day.

I chose the best cosmos plant I was growing in our terrace, and planted it with him in the ground. I hope this one plant will bloom and makes this area full of cosmos one day.

With him going back to the Earth, we had a nice closure and we now have a place to visit to see him and trees to hug that are standing on both sides of his cosmos ❤️

I’ve been coming here everyday except one day since our guinea pig passed. I want to make sure his cemetery is intact and the cosmos I planted with him will bloom.

Last night, my friend Tomoko brought a perfect tombstone for him. It has beautiful moss. So now when I come here, I can give water not only to his cosmos but also his headstone. We had a nice time at the site remembering Figgy.
Tomoko was Figgy’s caregiver whenever we travel and beyond. He had blast with her and her cats. She made a huge difference in his life and I cannot thank her enough. He was loved.

実験所からリスキューされて、うちにやってきたモルモットが亡くなって１週間。旅行中、この子の面倒を見てくれたトモコさんは帰宅後もフィギーの人生を素晴らしいものへとし続けてくれた。彼女がフィギーのために美しい藻の生えた石を持ってきてくれた。フィギーと一緒に植えた追憶のコスモスが咲くのを心待ちに水をあげてきた私だが、これからはこのフィギーの墓石の藻も育っていくように、花と石の両方に水をあげ続けることになる。
