RE: How to delegate your SP to another account using SteemWorld

in #guide5 years ago (edited)

Yes. I think we are saying the same thing? I was saying we would have to go through and mute each user individually. In the case of extreme spam, as we recently saw, this could prove to be very tedious (if we can even get the content to load).
So, say I was spammed like crazy. A person visiting my post, would have to do the same as I did? Because it would not already be muted for them. This would be very tedious and give people an avenue to "censor" people's opposing opinions using graphic rich spam, making it virtually unviewable for many people. Does it make sense now?

Ah, that is a great idea. To have blacklists, very transparent as to what they are, not abused etc and an opt in and and opt out. Excellent idea. I love it!

No. Everyone viewing your blog would have the comments you "muted" collapsed and grayed out.

Just like the new communities.

I "muted" the account "steemitboard" on the https://steemit.com/trending/hive-171744 and now everyone viewing https://steemit.com/trending/hive-171744 will have to find and click on the collapsed and grayed out "click-to-view-muted-comments" button in order to see "steemitboard's" comments.

My action does nothing to "steemitboard's" rep and does not affect their visibility on any other blogs or posts.

It's the same principle as "personal sovereignty".

Your blog is like your house.

You get to decide who comes into your house and if they are allowed to post signs in your yard.

You CAN stop them from posting signs in your yard, but you CANNOT stop anyone from posting signs in anyone else's yard (especially their own yard).

Yes! This is great! It seems very fair. I love it!

You can test it out by posting or commenting on https://steemit.com/trending/hive-171744 (you're already set as a "moderator").

Or you can create your own "community".

Nice, I'm always striving to discover some COMMON GROUND.

Same. I am looking for solutions not problems.
