The BMW 003 Turbojet. Year 1944
One of the First jet engines with an axial flow compressor. It powered the prototype Messerschmitt Me 262 (production version used the Junkers Jumo 004) and the Arado Ar 234. It, alongside the Junkers Jumo 004, was the only German turbojet engine to reach production during World War II.
