With a vast population willing to accept innovations that can transform penury into abundance, why won't steem become the next bitcoin? and steemit the next facebook?

Introduction

The steem decentralized cryptocurrency was what birthed the steemit concept which people often refer to as the "blog on the blockchain"
Steemit was designed in such a way as to welcome innovative minds into a world where you are rewarded for your imaginative perspective on virtually anything.
Now when I say reward, I do not only mean the cash aspect, you get to meet and interact with people from various races, all with a common goal of unleashing their "inner Dragons".
Now imagine having a job, not the 6am till 6pm kind of job, (not to sound derogatory), the kind of job where you don't worry about being owed by a government doing what you hate. Imagine being a part of a system where you are free to earn while sitting in front of your television set or earning while on a romantic date?
People used to say that kind of imagination belonged in the future, or well belonged in a future where everything could be near perfect.....
The truth is that future is here and it is the steem/steemit ecosystem.

As at February 2016, here was a report from a credible site about facebook...

Facebook has announced that the social media networking giant has 16 million active users in Nigeria, 6.3 per cent up from June 30, 2015. The announcement coincides with Facebook’s Friends Day, a celebration of Facebook’s 12th anniversary which was marked on Thursday, February 4.

Imagine! 16 million people that could be boosting the price of steem are chatting away their time (no harm intended) FOR FREE, when they could be changing the future through steemit and steem.
I once stumbled on a post by an author who once said (not totally sure) that @ned had the vision for steem to be 1 STEEM -$10 before the end of this year. A future like that is very possible with a programme like the Steemit In Nigeria.

That being said, what is the Steemit In Nigeria?

Steemit in Nigeria is more than an event, it is a landmark or a pivotal point in the history of Nigeria. This is an event where we plan on relating with Nigerians in a language they will understand, a language that is not limited to words, but total expressiveness.
It is an event where we'll offer Nigerians the chance to accelerate into the future using the steem brand. It is a communication outreach like never seen before.

With Nigeria being ranked as number 8 in the world as the countries with the highest internet usage, a conversion of such of workforce for this blockchain will yield skyrocketing effects.
It is to this effect that steemit in Nigeria was conceived, to support the growth of the Nigerian community here on steemit, and this idea has been welcome by so many people like @donkeypong who has been running around to give the Nigerian community a boost, @andrarchy who has expressed his consent towards us supporting the Nigerian community, @firepower willing to help and a host of others who I cannot name because the list will be endless

Statement of the problem

With an "active internet force" like that, it saddens to see that most of those numbers are unemployed, doing a job they hate, employed and being owed salaries,to attempting self employment with no means of starting (start up capital).

The chart above shows the unemployment rate of Nigeria as at January 2017, while the the chart before it shows the internet usage in Nigeria. With such high figures, it can be inferred that most of the time spent online is done on social media sites like facebook or sites like youtube where those that make money from advertising are the lucky (or connected) 1%, while the others simply aspire (no harm intended).
Don't get me wrong, Nigeria is a good place filled with good people and the way for it to attain perfection is through what I call making it the creative economy

The summary of the problem is there are so many creative minds here in Nigeria limited by the minimum wage expectations, and on the other hand is steemit/steem, a growing force, that could use the "workforce". I believe this is a match made in Heaven.

Mission and Vision

- The Mission

This proposal aims at increasing the steemit population tremendously, monopolizing the steem and steemit market in Nigeria, and Africa in the nearest future.

It also targets giving the steem market a major boost and at the same time, providing a means of sustainable living for thousand of Nigerians, who are either unemployed, or wish to live their dreams.

The final aim is to encourage investors and partnership with possible/prospective investors on the long run.

These were my exact words in a post I wrote some time back.

- The Vision

1 in 2 Nigerians should be a steemian and be using the steem as their preferred cryptocurrency.
Steem and SBD should become the means of trade for Nigerians.
1 STEEM - $400-$500 by June 2018

Solution

The creation of a necessary event where Nigerians can be safely ushered in after being orientated on the dos and don't. An event which will be properly structured/tailored to meet the Nigerian taste, capable of being "audible to the deaf and visible to the blind" according to Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka.
The community needs a programme which will unite incoming Nigerians with already existing Nigerians on the platform.
The community needs Steemit In Nigeria conference and party.

Desired outcome

The desired outcome is for Nigeria and the Nigerian market to be a key player in the development of steem and steemit. To have at least 400-500 new registrations in the first few days of the event and 1,000-2,000 in the first three weeks of the programme. By the end of January, to boast of 10,000-25,000 new Nigerians as a result of the Steemit In Nigeria conferance and party. The target is 1 million new registrations before the end of 2018.
Like I said originally, a steemy future for all.

Appreciation

My appreciation goes out to @ned and @dan for giving us steemit, @steevc, @raymonjohnstone, @teemsteam, @ausbitbank, @firepower, @donkeypong, @aggroed, @thecrytpofiend, @andrarchy, @condra, @good-karma, @infovore, @kingscrown, @fisteganos, @ogoowinner @gbenga, @leczy, @destinysaid, @jade56, @illuminatus, @oluwoleolaide, @steve1122, @mediahousent, @surpassinggoogle and so many others who have contributed in one way or the other towards the growth of the minnow, Nigerian and steemit community.
