Introducing SteemNaira Community as an integral tool for steem-growth in Nigeria

Steemnaira community is a branch of steemnaira brand We are focused on promoting steemit in Nigeria, coaching new members who find it challenging to stay on the platform.
Our motivation came from the fact that we learnt through the hard way and wished to support any minnows going through the wrong part on steemit
What we mean by minnows going through the wrong part
Here is a history of how we started
I @michaelcj as the community leader and other community administrators like @stevenmosoes, @phunke and @tfame3865 and a few more was given birth from a group of 300 plus hundred members on Telegram. We came through spam link on how to make money quickly online.
We all thought that steemit was a Get rich quick platform.
We all joined the group and this was what we were told
If 300 steemians upvote three hundred post everyday , we will all get $300 each. It's that simple. MAKE MONEY BY JUST POST AND LIKES EACH OTHERS POST.
Let's wait for everyone to complete registration and follow each other.
After our email registration was completed, we all submitted our post for upvote exchange and after each day, none of us could get up to a dollar.
So many people decline including the leader of the group.
That was how we all started.
In our steemit journey, We encounterd different challenges as stated below.
- Plagiarism
- Use of wrong tags
- tweet post
- nasty comments like nice post
- spamming our links on people's blog
- Begging others to follow and upvote our post.
Yes. Some many groups members got frustrated and decided to quit steemit.
Only a few of us stood strong until Nigerian community curators came to our rescue.
That day was the beginning of a new dawn.
The like of @destinysaid @gbenga @ehiboss @fisteganos @onequality and @illuminatus stumbled into our community group.
They made some many corrections though we did not believe them at first.
We saw a lot of changes on our blogs and was eager to know more.
Our mindset about steemit change and thank God for not quiting.
GROWTH IDEA
@steemnaira initiative was formed due to difficulties and risks while trying to power up and selling out funds to/fro our local bank. Especially for those that have little or no idea of crypto currency.
That's the question we all asked.
"How do we cashout our rewards"
So cashed out wrongly and had some lose
So we tried to look for a solution
Solution:
If we have a Naira wallet like Luno.com(bitcoin - naira)
We can easily buy or sell sbd/steem straight to/fro our local bank

Community Activities
We engage in steemit competitions. @spotlight Entertainment Contest 2 was our first major competition we participated and came out second
That event increased the love and support we gave each other. It also brought other steemians to our community.
We all support another member and she came out first.
After @spotlight event, We changed our name to SteemNaira Community because its not just a group. It's a community of steemians, We believe in supporting ourselves in unity, peace and love. We also welcome any other steemians who wants to join us.
We are Nigerian Based Steemians from different part of the country with one vision.
The name Naira represents our location.
We also recognize other Nigerian communities who are working so hard spreading Steemit Gospel.

OUR COMMUNITY PROJECT
@steemnaira community project is designed for steem promotion and steem growth.
We will focus on bringing new users into Steemit community, and also coach/mentor them on how to grow quickly.
Currently, I @michaelcj and some a Admins are currently under @bluewaves Academy on discord organized by @ogochukwu.
We are officially on whatsapp with four channels

COMMUNITY CURATION
With no Steem Power delegation, We make sure our posts are up to standard for good curation.
We are mostly curated by @curie, @ocd and sometimes @blocktrades
That's what has kept us together till date.
We offer give testimonies to motivate one another.
We encourage ourselves by entering on different contest, effectively commenting on different blogs, and also gather as much sp we get from post rewards and curation.

Good to know that @michealcj is that of this team and I trust you guys will do well. What really draw me to comment on this post was this line.....
I cannot stop laughing. Indeed most Nigerian Steemians are products of ponzi schemes. Ponzi really dealt with all of us. But thank God it was actually a blessing in disguise. Today we have steemit.com which is best of all programs I can think of.

Judging from this write up in this post:
I almost got discourage too becos the admin suddenly varnished and never came back. All the story here are very emotional for me becos the beginning was very tough for us.
I am grateful that we are gradually finding our feet and making a name of steemit.
