An Introduction to the STEEMHost Project

If you follow the link for the image above you will find the article describes a person's desire to "host" more parties. Why?

there’s plenty of research to suggest strong social relationships are closely associated with people living longer, healthier lives.

I talk with people on a daily basis on STEEM from around the world replying to or responding to replies on the site. I put more time and thought discussing things with my STEEM friends than I do in real life. In meeting new people I try to pass on the limited information that I have determined and have encouraged people where I can (even a minnow can act like a whale).

I propose a site which will work hand in glove with Steemit and Busy. I have already sequestered the name (http://www.steemhost.com/) but have only started the process of setting up the website. When I visit steemit.com I can see the hundreds of posts on My Feed from people I follow. There is also My Blog. I suppose if people are like me, they will visit some people's profiles and bookmark (on the browser) the profiles of people they find interesting. Also if people are like me they will visit each bookmark to catch up on the latest posts of their "friends". I am finding that people are starting to cluster into groups. There is one group who include latest links of the rest of the people in their group in every post. At the time I suggested they were paving the path for being a new type of news media outlet. Individual contributors banding together potentially becoming a STEEM-distributed Magazine.

This has led to the first proposed type of page unique to steemhost.com which would allow the host to designate contributors. On this single page would be the posts of those selected as "collaborators/contributors". When a person would invite people to view their "hosted" site, the visitor would be able to see the contributions of the people the host would thing would be interesting.

A second proposed type of page would be a page which would house "bookmarked" pages. As I visit posts, often there will be some which I will bookmark (in my browser). On steemhost.com users will be able to bookmark these posts and be able to manage and visit them in the future.

While the listings on these pages will be similar to the ones found on steemit and busy, clicking on the link will open in a new tab the posting in the visitor's preferred site (steemit and busy). From there all the additional aspects of voting and replying and wallet management will happen as people currently do. The main functions of steemhost is to aggregate and filter posts. This click through on the posts could be used to validate the hypothesis that hosting will improve view rate on "contributors".

Additionally the developers environment that I am using to create the site (cpDesk) has a built in survey tool which can be built into the pages to appear one time or periodically or randomly to obtain feedback on the site.

I have some additional ideas to be implemented but I won't get into them at this juncture. I am writing this after reading some of the suggestions made in posts by @andrarchy and @jerrybanfield. Please comment on these two types of pages if you think these would be of value or if you need further clarification.

Hello, I've got your message. I am on discord and steem.chat

I can be found on Discord - dwarrilow2002 (dwarrilow2002#1688). The programmer who is working on this project is based out of Gujarat India so is just ending his day. The reason that we are contacting you is that we want to create a mechanism to automatically delegate steem without having to do a manual confirmation.

We are introducing the concept of advertising on steemhost. The object of this is to reward the host and to reward visitors to the host's page. This way hosted pages can be designed to become like an online magazine. Eventually I want the appearance of the site to be similar to this site:
http://lindsayadvocate.ca/

The desired reward system as an example would go as follows ... when a visitor views a steemhost page, or clicks on the banner ad they will be rewarded by with steem delegation. I have elected to use delegation instead of a payment of steem or steem dollars because I am hoping that steemhost will act as a sponge for steem. Advertisers will pay in steem or SBD (increasing demand for the coin and hopefully increasing the price). Paying those coins out might would cause visitors to cash out the currency. Paying out in delegation will encourage visitors to continue to post on steem.

Secondly when a visitor visits a steemhost page, the host will also be receive a "host reward" in delegation. Additionally if a visitor to the site has not logged in (using steemconnect) the value of the visitor reward goes to the host.

I recognize that when the delegation is being paid, it requires a summation of the delegation (eg if 100 was previously delegated 100.01 would need to be the new value).

The reward system will be roughly 1/3 to the visitor, 1/3 to the host and 1/3 to steemhost design team. Part of the object of this site is to design a system that focuses on adding features that are currently not available on steemit or busy. For instance an college would like to post their course material on steem so that it is accessible internationally. By adding the "advertising" component, they will be able to continue to receive revenue years after the course material is posted.

It is possible for visitors to bookmark posts they find interesting for future reference. The search engine only searches through the content of the host or the contributors (or bookmarked pages). Also we are working on a way so that hosts will have greater control over the appearance of their sites. For instance compare sweetsssj with my own dwarrilow2002

If you log in using steemconnect, you will see that you have additional options. Please remember we are still in the development stage so the cosmetics are incomplete.

Hello friend @ dwarrilow2002, this is a good initiative on your part to revolutionize steem hopefully as you develop it in the future to become more familiar with it.

Do you have a group of people in Venezuela that you correspond with on STEEM? If so can you describe to them the options that will be available when this site is running.

Actualmente, cuando las personas visitan su blog, solo ven su contenido. En Steemhost.com, podrán ver no solo su contenido, sino también a las personas de su grupo específico.
Currently when people visit your blog, they only see your content. On Steemhost.com they will be able to see not only your content but also people in your specific group.

Todavía no he subido ninguna página web al sitio, pero esta mañana estaré en una reunión de producción.
I haven't uploaded any webpages to the site yet but I will be in a production meeting for it this morning.

¡Por favor! Resteem e Resume la publicación porque me gustaría que más personas vean que se acerca este proyecto.
Please resteem the post as I would like to get more people seeing that this project is coming.
