Growing up and advice
Sometimes the simplest discussions have the most profound impact on our lives.
Best advice I had from my late father when wrestling with school, exams and more interest in playing computer games or heading to the woods on my bike with a few mates to escape parental eyes....than working on studying for exams.
"Not everyone is a lawyer or Doctor ...I'll totally support you in whatever you want to be. Just be happy in what you do and have no regrets. Being a plumber, builder or artist is a also a cool way to use your hands and make a career. No pressure from us son..."
With the pressure gone, picked my path and have been happy ever since.
