Gridcoin Advertising (7) - Callout and Sitelinks extensions

     Gridcoin - scientific benefit through crypto mining

AdWords advertisements displayed on Google are text-only, so they look a bit dull according to today's standards. But Google offers various ways of "enhancing" them through so called extensions. We are now using Callout and Sitelinks extensions for our Google ads. Ads with such extensions are more visible, have higher click-through rates and are usually considered more professional and mainstream. Take a look yourself:

Gridcoin ads on Google search are now displayed with sitelinks to https://gridcoinstats.eu/faucet.php ("Claim your sign-up bonus"). 'Oglas' means 'Advertisement' in Croatian - don't worry, that's just in my browser, you will get an English word (Ad) in yours :)

Basically, if you join BOINC and start computing for science, you will get your CPID (Cross-Project IDentification), a string of alphanumerics identifying you on the BOINC network (for example mine is 8ed4ce08bfd7cb8a436eef5fc3be322f) meaning that you are on your way to become a Researcher rewarded through Gridcoin Network. That qualifies you for an extra reward (up to 20 GRC) from our Gridcoinstats Faucet, a little sign-up bonus or 'researcher's bounty' for joining up BOINC, Gridcoin and distributed scientific research (certain minimal conditions have to be met in order to prevent abuse, you'll find more details on Gridcoinstats).

"Claim your free 3 GRC" is another sitelink which leads to uscore.net. They will send you 3 Gridcoins if you subscribe to their newsletter (it's Gridcoin-related stuff obviously). I received only one email from them so far, so don't worry, they won't spam you. It's also financed from the Gridcoin Foundation, we approved it last year (Gridcoinstats link).

Uscore.net front page. A website dedicated to promoting Gridcoin. It was the first thing I stumbled upon when I decided to join back in 2015. so it certainly has some marketing value and it's worth sitelinking.

I will also add a sitelink to our well known infographic (hosted on Gridcoinstats). Up to 6 sitelinks are allowed, so we can add 3 more - your ideas are welcome. 

Besides sitelinks, we are now also using so called Callout extensions. Callout extensions are reinforcing phrases which are appearing below the ad itself (Open-sourced, decentralized, energy efficient) describing the advertised service (i.e. Gridcoin) in more details and underlining its strengths. Up to 6 such extensions are allowed (each with max 25 characters), so if you have some witty ones, share them in comments and I'll add them.

Currently, Gridcoin ads are displayed on Google if you search for BOINC (and other BOINC-related phrases like SETI at home, World Community Grid, GPUGRID, Primegrid, Einstein at home etc). But in the future, we might want to expand our advertising to other words as well, for example crypto-related ones (like Bitcoin, Litecoin, crypto, mining, Poloniex, Proof of Stake... anything, really).

Bounce rate for Gridcoin ads on BOINC-related Google searches has decreased to 76.62% (Analytics data for last 7 days). It was at 82.03% three months ago. Of course, Gridcoin price has doubled in the meantime, that probably helped a lot.
