Emerald badge for contribution to Outsmart Ebola Together

Yesterday, I received the Emerald badge for my contribution to the Outsmart Ebola Together project, enabled by the World Community Grid initiative.
The Ebola virus is a significant global health threat and is a growing humanitarian crisis in Africa. The virus kills up to 90% of infected victims and it is one of five known viruses within the Ebolavirus genus. Several outbreaks of Ebola virus, but the last one reached epidemic proportions, centered in West Africa (Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone).Few cases were reported outside of West Africa, but all were related to international traveler who were exposed in the affected regions.
The Outsmart Ebola Together project on World Community Grid, is using the huge computational power donated by volunteers joining the distributed network, to screen millions of drug molecules and identify the ones that can disable the Ebola virus.
Volunteers that donate their unused computational power, and are joining the Gridcoin team, are rewarded with GRC crypto-tokens. These are highly valuable cryptocoins, that are currently trading at $0.0786.
