Two Gridcoin forks in one day

in #gridcoin8 years ago (edited)

About 12 hours ago, I learned I was on a fork and reorganized my chain. Just now, the same thing happened again. This must be a record.

This time, I'm able to watch my chain being rebuilt. I just restored a good block from 2 days ago. What gives?

Sort:

I can only compare the given block explorers (gridcoinstats.eu, gridcoin.network, nuad.de).

gridcoinstats.eu and nuad.de are on the same fork with 0.0x difficulty and same block number.
gridcoin.network has currently a difficulty of 0.5 and a higher block number.

I was on the same chain as gridncoinstats/nuad.
They've forked at block 1164835.
The last equal block hash was with 1164834.
After a reorganize, my wallet is now in sync with the longest chain.

Seems that I have to share some... :D

Please use the following command in your wallet console if you're on the 0.0x chain which reorganizes your wallet from 1164834:

reorganize 93379e4d25321be2f24df4ae57c9746a3183cd7d184f825808616824411a329e

Do you run Win wallet?

I wonder - is Win wallet more susceptible to forking? I see a lot of people reorganizing their wallets etc., trying to go back on main fork / branch. My linux daemon runs for ~ 10 days now without interruption and whenever I check it seems to be on the main branch...

I'm running the Mac wallet. I suspect the problem is my peers, some of whom are running versions <3.7.

You just planted 2.80 tree(s)!
