from what i can glean quickly, you're upset that G_UK ran with the idea of the greylist without consulting anybody who had worked on it previously? am i correct in that?
I think that's the jist of it but contrary to @jamezz's believes people don't follow his every move. If you move a topic to a volatile medium such as IRC or Mumble then the rest of the population is going to be unaware and invent the same thing. Even with direct communication the implementer is often a different person than the author. It happens all the time and we do it in the wallet development. The opposite is closer to patents which is notorious for hindering progress.
I'm contemplating downvoting just for the @dutch bashing.
