Changelog:
- Removed the dependency on Netsoft to test a new CPID
- Modified 'list cpids' to detect the users projects and CPID without a call to Netsoft
- Modified 'execute proveownership' to work in a decentralized fashion
- Tested 'execute advertisebeacon' to ensure it works with a valid new CPID with 0 RAC
- Note: New users must have BOINC installed with at least one project mounted in order to advertise a beacon and the Gridcoin e-mail setting must match the project server e-mail address value

what exactly is gridcoin. is it possible to mine it?
You "mine" it by helping the World Community Grid (and others) by letting your computer fold proteins to help medicine, or calculate more efficient sun panels etc. Gridcoin Research then awards the work by minting you some gridcoins.
It's a cryptocurrency which rewards verified BOINC computation (world community grid, seti@home, milkyway@Home, etc) on top of proof of stake.
Excellent upgrade! It's fixed issues that several users were encountering!
What kind of issues? My Boinc client suddenly stopped, and I've not been able to turn it on again, nor determine the cause.
The BOINC client is separate from the Gridcoin client, try reinstalling BOINC?
I'll have to try, nothing to lose. :)
