WU availability for Gridcoin whitelisted projects (10/Jan/18)

Here is the weekly work-unit (WU) availability update for whitelisted Gridcoin projects.

It has been an interesting week with several projects facing short / minor outages. On the other hand, Numberfield@home experienced a serious database crash, taking it four days off-line. Since Monday, the situation has been recovered and sufficient work-units are now available again.

Last week there was still no work either for Sourcefinder@home but fortunately I just noticed new work-units in the server queue. Furthermore there is a message on the forum that more work will be made available. Hopefully I can soon move the project status from Red to Green again.

And here is the status and allocated credits for all whitelisted projects.

    I think we should do something with sourcefinder. The project is awesome, but if the guy cant keep up, we should remove it from the whitelist.

    On the other hand, it is said it will soon change to 100MB work units ,which i expect will keep the science juice going .

      Unfortunately the server queue is empty again after 24 hours but I really hope as well that the next batch of larger WUs will keep the Gridcoin team busy for a while.

        And it is using Vbox so it uses quite a bit of ram, so it limits how much crunching some high end processors can dedicate to this project.

          Agreed, fortunately we can combine this project with other projects that have a smaller memory requirements.
