Today is another day to celebrate because team Gridcoin has reached another major milestone with a whopping

1,000,000,000 RAC output

The amount is as much as the rest of the Top15 BOINC teams combined and here is a BOINCStats snapshot.

Gridcoin is an open source cryptocurrency (Ticker: GRC) which securely rewards volunteer computing performed upon the BOINC platform in a decentralized manner on top of proof of stake.

        Just a reason more to get rid of bitcoin. Bitcoin falls, people panic sell, newbies see bitcoin falling and panic sell everything. The good thing is that i predict it will come back stronger. This is a purge, many coins will never recover and a lot of that money will probably go to gridcoin (among others, like eos, bitshares, or cardano, which i recommend to invest in while you can). If we expect the market cap to be still at around 750 million dollars, of course.

        We need the exchanges to implement a GRC to USDT (the tether) trade, and GRC to ETH, that way GRC will be more effectively decoupled from BTC. Right now you have to go through BTC.

        These things happen and I'm sure it will change again but at least we did something useful with all those cpu-cycles in the meantime... :)
