Gridcoin weekly project update - 23/Apr/18
Four weeks ago, I wrote about the first project that went full circle from being greylisted back to whitelisted again. I moved through the actual process itself, showing the impact on the charts. This week I would like to complement the story with what would have happened if the project wouldn’t had been greylisted.
The chart below on the left presents the actual GRC earnings for Universe@home per 1k system RAC, where the payments ceased on 23-February and restarted on 26-March when it was whitelisted again. Without the greylisting process, the chart would have looked like the one below on the right, which would have resulted in a maximum pay-out of 2.51 GRC per 1k system RAC on 6-March.

(Source: BOINCStats)
Universe@home was greylisted 27 days in total and during this time there were 24 instead of 25 whitelisted projects. This resulted in 27 days * 115,000 GRC per day / 25 = 124,200 GRC being distributed over the remaining whitelisted projects.
So when a project stops generating work, the greylisting process clearly provides benefits to Gridcoin members with active crunchers on other whitelisted projects.

And here are the tables and charts for all whitelisted projects.
Definitions
- Recent Average RAC = The total amount of RAC produced by all systems within the Gridcoin network.
- Team RAC vs Overall RAC % = The proportion of RAC output team Gridcoin has produced as part of the overall RAC for the project.
- GRC per 1k system RAC = The amount of GRC you will receive for a system per 1000 RAC points. Example: You have a system which is running Rosetta@home with a RAC value of 3500. According to the chart on 30-Oct, you should gain 3.5 x 0.42 GRC = 1.47 GRC per day for this system.
- USD per 1k system RAC = The amount of USD you will receive for a system per 1000 RAC points. Example: You have a system which is running NFS@Home with a RAC of 4700. According to the chart on 30-Oct, you should gain 4.7 x $0.29= $1.36 per day for this system.

I find that my magnitude stays at 1.00. I believe some of the projects I was running expanded their work unit execution times. Between that the advent of SPARC, I added more projects, one of which is of particular interest to me.
