Why i support Gridcoin, in a simple image :
Its incredible the effect of being whitelisted can have for the less exciting projects (disproving the colazt conjecture is waaaay less exciting than curing cancer or searching for Ayyyy LMAOs in the sky) .
I just hope we can get more projects approaching us, specifically from countries which cannot afford to give the science sector the resources needed.
Unfortunately the ignorance in team Gridcoin and it's leadership will not let that happen and the whitelist is kept as small as possible. Votes are made at the drop of a dime to de-whitelist projects while they are processing the data crunched by us if they don't bend over backwards and whip new work units out , heaven forbid they actually utilize what is crunched. Then you also have whales that whine and there being no honor in the system and us peons do not matter what so ever , science has to be in English and then there is the misunderstanding and ignorance regarding SSL and how its only used for the website and logging in to your account and the boinc client itself on the back end does not use SSL to get work units or send them back to the project and projects will not get voted " Yes " to be whitelisted unless they have SSL. Until there is a change in the vote system and the whales votes being able to tip the vote from 60/40 yes/no to a 30/70 and so forth for example the whitelist will continue to be small and you will have to fight for your magnitude or spend the money to suck up 3.8kW/hr just in GPU power alone not to mention CPU. The list sucks just strait up and honestly , there is a shortage of Android projects and what there is you cannot earn anything because there are 600 users with 4000 devices and then any project with a GPU application is saturated and impossible to gain magnitude unless you have the most current highest end hardware. With that said if we ever " Gridxit " and remove the team requirement Gridcoin will go to hell and die off due to even the current whales with magnitudes in the thousands will drop down to single digits and will be pointless thus making it even less worth the cost of electricity it takes to run the hardware and attempt to get 1/10th back in return. Sad but true.
That is still incorrect unless I'm reading the code wrong.
