The Gridcoin community invites you to: chess tournament #3
The interest to continue with tournaments was high, and we have again donations (650 GRC so far), so let's make some "polling" for the tourneys #3 and #4!

- tourney #3: Saturday, May 20, 16-18:00 UTC
- tourney #4: Sunday, May 21, 16-18:00 UTC
I have given below options for the next date + format, since I assume that the interest after the positive feedback from #1 + #2 will also bring "fresh blood" into our tournaments.
I'll ask around first, since most of us players are in IRC, and will post in comments a pre-result. (Meanwhile you can also post in the comments.)
And then we can do - when needed - a more detailed poll.
About options: A-C
- either we let it in the current time slot (16-18:00 UTC), because that was what fit for most people currently or see (C).
- Then the date: this weekend, or next ? If (B): players could use this opportunity to practice more also
options D-E:
shall we do 2 tournaments again ?
E.g. we could do 1 tournament on 16-18:00 UTC and perhaps the 2nd at another time ?
If someone has a bad day, they can still get points in the 2nd tournament

A: this weekend (May 13/14), again 16-18:00 UTC: but we have also hangout on Saturday. Also, Sunday will be another BOINC interview
B next weekend (May 20/21), no hangout/interview here
C other options? During week, other times ?
D 2 tournaments ?
E or 1 tournament only
option B for time frame. with interview and hangout i wouldn't want to get in the way of that. In fact we should be encouraging users to join the hang out to even just listen. And options D why not it had success and people enjoyed it.
I think option B would be good.
I will try and attend this next time, Im rubbish so it wont take long for me to be out of it :)
Once we settle the date time, we should start challenging other crypto-currencies to form teams?

No worries, you can train beforehand :-) I mention in the chess forum in the announcements to tourney 1+2 some recommendations, check those also out (see here).
So far we have 6 players preferring option B (May 20+21, 16-18:00 UTC), so I assume we'll make 2 tourneys on that weekend.
The challenging of other teams and the future steps, we'll discuss in this week's mumble also (see here).
